    Default How to take apart VW Climatic module?

    Greetings everyone.

    I have a VW Tiguan which has got poor cabin heat.
    I have checked the thermostat - it's not stuck open.
    I've checked the hoses which go to cabin heat exchanger - really hot, both of them.
    I have visually checked the temperature flap when turning heat control knob from cold to hot setting - the flap moves all the way.

    Later I hooked up VCDS and found that Cabin Air temperature is dispayed as 27 *C always, even though it's -10 *C in it or so.
    I suspect this may be related to poor cabin heat output so I removed the Climatic module out to inspect the sensor which is built in it.
    I unscrewed the screws, however, was not able to pop open the plastic. Something is still holding the two pieces together.
    I suspect it's the fan speed knob.

    Any ideas how to take apart this module so that I can gain access to PCB?

    Here's how it looks like:

    I can calculate ABS module codings for:
    * Continental/Teves MK60EC1 and MK60;
    * TRW systems in Passat B6 / B7 / CC /Tiguan;
    * MK100
    ;
    * Bosch ABS8.2, ABS9.0 and ESP8.2, ESP9.0;
    * EBC 460 (UP!, Mii, Rapid, CitiGo, Fabia, Toledo, etc) New!
    *
    ... and other VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda modules.I can assist with repairing \/CDS interfaces.
