First make sure that it is the correct type, and mhz.
Look around for used, and even they cost something.

I guess it's A4 B6 model so if 2004 then you need 8Z0 837 220 D. Without letter D will not program because it is for 2000-2002 models.

    Instead 8Z0 ... D you can use also 8E0 837 220 Q/K from B7 model - better look and easier to buy.

    kdx-03 id46 clone transponders.

I used them to clone a pcf7946 Clio key.
    Clone ok, car not start.
Then i used a vvdi id46, car starts.

Anyone else having problems with kdx-03 transponders?

Did a 2007 Range Rover L322 - with the weird Jag/Ford hybrid Sawdoc immobiliser today.

Copied chip to CN3 in seconds. No trouble at all.

I've read online it's possible to copy a 4D83 chip with KD-X2. I'm trying to clone my form transit custom 2014 key. I'm fairly new to this and struggling to make it work. Can anyone explain the process? I've cloned some 48 and 46 chips successfully with B and NB type remotes. Thanks.
