I have a BMW e46 on a 52 plate which i am trying to change mileage on, I have saved data from the original 35080 chip and then done a full write to a new chip then changed the mileage and soldered in new chip when powered up dash comes up code where the miles should be. If i solder the old chip back in it reverts back to the original mileage. I am using the "china" tacho universal. where am i going wrong? thanks in advance.

You have soldered it back to the original pads.....? Coz there is an extra set... Very close to the original ones ....

Post dump from original + the one you programmed mate...

CODE usually means that its looking for the CODE plug ...which it does not have....
