    Question Kawasaki ZX10R 2008 - 2010 (I'm turning dumb)

    Hi.
    I don't know what's wrong with this bike's tacho, the encoding system is different than 2005's.
    I need to recalibrate a tacho to 27000km and I don't know why but the datas are not as expected when I read them on 93C56.
    Here are 2 dumps from 2 different 2008 bikes for example and the mod I tried.

    Mileage should be in 0080, 0090, 00A0 and 00B0 lines and it's not.
    Can someone help me ?

    ZX10R-2008-Original-dump-(70254-km).zip
    ZX10R-2008-Original-dump-(Unknown-km).zip
    ZX10R-2008-Mod-dump-(27000-km-error).zip

    Thanx a lot.

    Not read as 16 bit, and if you wrote over the original your eeprom is now corrupt and you need a new dump.
    Please DO NOT PM me asking for help.

    Post in the forum, that is what it is here for.

    Thank you Clusters.
    So simple ?
    Past models (2004 - 2007) are ok with 8bits so I didn't tried with 16bits.
    I'll try and be back

    As a rule, you always read dash files in 16 bit.

    You are the Boss Clusters ! You provided the solution and now it works.
    I'll remember always using 16bits now.
    By the way, I've spent some hours to look for a tool which could convert 8bits to 16bits without success, and I saw I'm not the only one who did this mistake.

    Many thanx and good night.

    All 93cx6(No A or B character at the end) = 8bit or 16bit:

    93cx6 16bit = pin 6 is not connected to anything (or is connected to vcc(+5v))
    93cx6 8bit = pin 6 is connected to vdd(negative).

    All 93cx6A/B

    93cx6A = 8bit (and cant be set to 16bit)
    93cx6B = 16bit (and cant be set to 8bit)

    Taken from another post on DK, not mine, maybe it will help.
