Out of interest what are the numbers on the ECU, the 0281.... number maybe. What year is the car. And can you post pictures of the ECU including the plugs.
Hello! I havent found the answer so...
How to read the original map file from the car? It only says "ecu id" and "write" but "read" is blacked out.
I tried two different laptops (other w7 64bit and other wxp sp3 32bit) and also some loop wire between obd pins 13 and 16, no help.
It finds the ecu and data say nothing on bosch software and bosch hardware numbers.
Vw Software Number: 8D0907558E
System type Number: 1.8L R4/5V
Oh and MPPS version v13.02.
What to try now?

V Series TMS470 / EEPROM data - encryption / decryption, totally pwned.

It is 1998 and ecu is 0261204805.
I just found out that it cannot be programmed by obd, only by taking off the chip and copying it and modify to another chip.
That is minor problem for now, as equipment for such process is fairly cheap from chinese manufacturers.
But there comes the other problem:
In WinOLS it shows only numbers and hexadecimals, not like in vagedcsuite, what shows directly f.e. egr, boost limit etc. How to find out what map is for what purpose if it only has like "map 12" or "map 73" etc.?
You are going to have to watch loads of youtube videos to start with. Then goto chip tuning section and search for or ask for damos/a2l/map file for your ecu.
