Passat 2003 (B5.5) Comfort Control Module

Hi

I have a quick question regarding my replacement CCM, the reason for the replacement is that the remote key fob is reconised on VCDS in the measurements but nothing is locking or unlocking remotely. The car will lock via the key and there are no faults found on scanning. All the wiring has been checked and all the door locking mechanisms are checked. The pollen filter housing re sealed.

So I have order a new CCM which has the extact same serial numbers, I know i have to reprogram the key fobs, but do I have to copy the current CCM info and write the info to the new one?

CAn anyone advise?

You can make a note of old ccm soft coding and transfer to the replacement one although vcds gives a drop-down menu to choose the options to suit your car and then program remote

It is very straight forward and cannot imagine you having any problems but if you do you will receive help, just one point to make is if your replacement module is 2nd hand you may need to clear old remotes before programming yours, adaptation ch00 will do that for you

Thanks to you all for the support, I replaced the CCM with identical serial numbers, re programmed both key fobs and Voila.
