modeo opens windows

My sons 51 plate ford mondeo 2 litre tddi car was looked up last night when he went out to it in the morning car was unlocked all electric windows were right down .Have anybody heard of a fault which cause this or anybody got any ideas what might have happened. thanks in advance

Are you aware if you hold the lock button on your remote key it will close any open windows. Or open them if you press and hold the open button.

some1s been sitting on their keys???

or mayb the first suggestion, gta be one of the two.......

1) Have had the buttons collapse on the remotes

2) just lift the crpet and see if it smells like a fish pond, eariler
mondogs the loom sat in water and rotted

3) check the front doors lock from the inside and outside

thanks for replies, we checked today and was surprised just how far the remote would work and that it would go though brick walls no trouble so we think he somehow pressed the button.

*THINK* drivers foot well, the control module for the entire car, wrap it in tinfoil and see if it reduces the range.

repeat the above experiment 3 times, after each test, jump in car, start engine, etc as if your going out, just incase it's a once only system

1) one press of unlock only

2) two presses of unlock only

3) press and hold unlock

After each experiment follow thses guys advise

and see if on each experiment it relocks it's self after 120 secons or 2mins, (but best leave it for 300 seconds or 5 mins)
