    Question Can bus software?

    Hello

I have can-bus -> rs232 adapter in my current car-pc configuration, is there any software that can easily log stuff from can-bus, so i could grab commands and replay them, so i could easily build software for opening mirrors, displaying messages in dash via car-pc etc.
My car is peugeot 407 and i could not find any software related to peugeot's i know that in some other brands these things have allready been done.

Hi, i have a "real" carpc (Sunit: In-Vehicle Computers for professional use), with integrated can-connection, i think any canusb device would work also, i just contacted my carpc can cables to can-hi & can lo signal cables that originally goes to rd4 unit (i have ditched that).
The canhacker software logs stuff and i can replay them from there, (eg opening windows), but this needs much work still to get full control, eg programming software that controls functions of car. (i suck at programming)

    Default Lawicel USB-can adapter

Hi guys, I'm just new here on the forum, seem like the right place to get loads of ideas for some future projects
The big reason to why I came here is because I was trying to find a fully featured software built for RS232 connected CAN-bus readers such as Lawicel USBCAN adapter.
Has there been any OBD reader/logger/Dashboard software built for this type of device? As I understand the Lawicel adapter transfer the CAN bus trafic untouched to COMx(Virtual COM via FTDI USB ic in the USBCAN adapter) of the PC.
I haven't been able to find any free software for this purpouse, maybe I serch with the wrong key-words?
If anyone here has some tips I would be really glad to know about it, else a project will have to be started if some guys here are interested.
    Best regards Robban

Hi, The MGF of that year uses standard OBD diagnostics, this can be viewed via simple OBD software using either an elm scan tool with scan tool software or an ODB reader, however full functionality will only be accessed by the Test book rover software. No canbus on these vehicle's. Whats up anyway mate what prob you having?
