    Default noob alert! usb loader gx won't read my hard drive

    I'm trying to play games from an external hd so i downloaded one and i put it on my hd but when i launch usb loader it says it can't find a usb device or something what do i do?

    Welcome to DK.

    Its a common problem which there are solutions for on here. What you need to do first now that you've made 1 post is download sysCheck19 and post a report as instructed in that link so I can see which IOS's you have installed.

    Hello.

    I have the same problem. Usb Loader cant recognize my HDD.

    That sysCheck doesn't look to bad apart from you have d2x-v7final install you need to install d2x v8 Final wad pack

    If you want to remove IOS16 stub then install my cIOS16-v257.wad it won't cure you problem but it will get rid of that stub.

    Have any games worked on your drive? You don't say how its formatted FAT32, NTFS or WBFS and what you used to add the game onto the drive?

    Is your drive compatible?

    There are threads where the hard drive isn't recognised if you search.

    is there a recommended format for usbloader with my external HDD?

    sorry for the noob question
    been reading up on this, have sorted out hbc, just need to download these files http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...k-help-277765/
    and start loading up my HDD

    great I hope this works, I need to post before I can download the files required to fix it. I have exactly the same problem.
