    Default CMD OBD possibilities

    Hi Guys,
I'm thinking about getting the OBD tool from CMD flash.
Now I see in the OBD carlist (https://www.flashtec.ch/index.php/pr...obd#obdcarlist) some models can be read/written by OBD and some by K-line.
If I not wrong, some car models have a k-line pin in the OBD socket, so these cars can be done completely by OBD without removing the ECU to the bench, right?

So, what does it mean in case it is mentioned in the CMD OBD car list. All cars that are mentioned with K-line can be done completely by OBD?

    Thanks, greets, Dima

It only means that communication is done by kline, others by can line, both through obd, some cars dont have kline connected from ecu to obd, so you might need to do the connection straight to ecu connection pins.

    Hi M8,
Both kline and canbus are possible through obd port, newer cars will work using virtual reading files from CMD server.
