But where i should set the password?

unlock or admin password?

service tag : G0BBM2J-595B in the meantime 2nd is zero.

i try two code in admin and unlock
they don't work at all....

the password given was the master password to get you into the BIOS.
it is also the admin password but if the admin password has been changed by user then there is no way you can calculate it.

EDIT : password must also be entered in lower case as given

D520 here as well. Grey screen password prompt as the others have mentioned.

D520 Latitude

Cant get past the password screen :P Seems that the business we bought the computer through forgot to tell us they put a password on this ancient laptop. Just hoping to open it up for my 7 yr old son, so he can play around with it.

came across this forum and think its a god send. i have tried everything to remove the bios lock on my d520 and no luck can anyone help ? service tag #3ygxbd1-595b. this is really giving me a headace any help is much appreciated.

I have an old dell laptop (d510) and was hoping to get the bios password. The service tag is as follows: #4v2jh81-595b. Any help you can provide in getting this laptop unlocked would be much appreciated. Also - i saw a post regarding a generator for this. Can you post the link on where to download the app?
