One Touareg with EDC16U1 good read, but brake in writing. Also one Ford 1.6 TDI EDC16c34 the same situation. After that i am always use external power suplly. Not let power suplly be under 12.40 Volts and no problem with KESS. MPPS have no this issue with power suplly, also Galletto have not.

All VAG EDC16U1, U31, U34 I make with MPPS china clone V13 for 20 USD with no problem for 3 years.
This is not a joke. I am using MPPS because I feel sorry for Kess tokens.

My Kess EU does without a problem EDC16 BMW Audi, EDC17 BMW and Audi and PCR 2.1, Delphi Ford, Siemens Ford and Aud, Marelli 6 and many others but does not do Renault EDC15C2 and MB EDC16C31. MPS V13 china clone does these ECUs without any problem
In my experience, MPPS is more aggressive but also recovers many ECUs when Kess does not have ECU communication.
