    Default Scan, what am I doing wrong?

    Sorry, this is probably a very basic question, but I can't figure it out.

    I have a DM7025 with C tuner, with Gemini image.
    I haven't installed any files yet.

    I have tried to do an automatic and a manual scan, hoping to get FTA channels, however i get following msg:
    ERROR - failed to scan (error starting scanning)!

    Got any advice please?

    Many thanks student

    I am assuming you are in the UK and if so download the cables.xml file from the download section and ftp it to var/etc. Not sure about the exact sequence for Gemini but try doing Setup > system settings > autom atic transponder scan > Bruteforce scan

    I have transfered the file, double checked that it's there. Restarted the box, done the automatic and manual search and it produces the same result. (faile dto scan)

    I can't find the bruteforce scan, i don't think it's there.

    @westkill, I am in Colchester

    westkill, you are a star!

    Thank you, it has worked.

    Wehere do I find this info?

    <--student added 30 Minutes and 29 Seconds later...-->

    Can I ask also, how do I add these channels to the EPG?

    I don't see any obvious way to do it?

    Many thanks
