Your A3 140 Cv mounts ECU Bosch.
The 170 hp is equipped with Siemens ECU
Hi,
sorry for my bad english,
I ask you a question: I have to replace the engine to an audi a3 2.0 tdi 140 CR code CBA, I found a great deal for a CBB engine (170cv version) from my research, should be the same, the only differences should be only in the injectors and in the turbo. Now my question is as follows:
I could restore turbo and injectors of my engine, but I would not mind to mount the 170cv version, according to your experience, you can write the firmware of the 170cv version on the control unit of 140 or you must necessarily replace the ecu? Thanks

Yes, they are common rail and ECU is edc17cp14
Sorry
Scusate ragazzi non avevo letto!!!
i made this upgrade, this engine have only turbo different from 170, injectors are the same...obvioulsy you have two ways to do this job, you can charge the calibration from 170 hp with immo "adapted" or you can start from your original file and calibrate the efficiency of new turbo in your file, this operation are not quick...as first you can make mechanical job and test car with original file to understand how to move first steps.

also you can take ecu from NEW engine. Make immo OFF, car should work well.

if you read your 140hp file you can look for a 170hp file that is aligned 100% so you can transfer all maps area and everything should work
Thank's for reply,
do you think I can not flash the 170cv firmware on the ECU of 140cv?

Hi,
I then mounted the cbb engine maintaining the original 140hp turbo, the car worked but lacked power and consumed a lot. I put back the injectors of the 140, all the missing power is back and the consumption is halved.
the injector code is the same, but the additional numbers are different, so the calibrations probably change
