Yep, if transponder is damaged(broken) it should be no problem to add another one. No interference should occur.
Just in case - you can remove the broken parts or if not possible, then you can brake it a little more .
Hello, yesterday I opened a new gen vw key (7N5 837 202 H)
i damaged the transponder and now car doesn't start.
My idea was, that I program a new transponder and put it in the exiting key (remote is working).
My technical support says, that is not good, because then there are 2 transponder in the Key.
But I think its no problem because the original transponder is damaged.
What do you say? Can I do this?
Sorry for my bad English
Greetings

Here a picture

For the remote on the picture - it seems some condensers or resistors are missing. If you are able to recover them, I think car should be able to start again.
remove the coil and replace with new trensponder .
remove the coil and replace with new trensponder .
for what?
Two capacitors are missing, not related to the tp part at all.
Resolder the marked capacitor and the two pin where the capacitor are connected.

yeah i saw that but as i say those are not related with the transponder. It will working without it
the black thing is a transponder coil. vertically. The small black rectangle is the transponder + remote but those are working separeted.
The transponder electronic need a coil + capacitor (resonant circuit) to power up the whole thing. Thats the reason why working the tp w/o battery.
if you problem with the TP check and resolder all visble components. Coil, capacitor, blask stuff.
So pls resolder the marked capacitor and the two black recatgle pin where it's connected.
I was more badly damaged my first vag pin house remote. 10min later it worked again

I cant resolder them because i cant find the lost things haha.
i think the easiest way is to programm a new transponder and glue it in.....
what do I have to consider?
i would say i programm the TP individually and then stick it inside...
so nothing can go wrong when programming with respect to the old transponder.
Thank you guys!
Options
If that was only working key:
* Repair/replace damaged/missing components
* Remove cluster and code new key on bench
* Remove cluster and code new transponder on bench, (de-solder induction coil and place transponder in it's place)
If have another working key:
* Code new key by OBD
* Code new transponder by OBD, (de-solder induction coil and place transponder in it's place)

The iduction coil is the vertically black chip on the top, right? i thought its important for the remote too? so i cant de-solder it?
is it a problem if i programm the new transponder and glue it in, without de-solder anything?
I ask so much because i will learn this for the future, programm new key is too easy
If program new key is easy...program new key. All the info you need is in the first few posts. It surprises me how readily professionals provide details to DIYers and the greater universe.
