    Hi
    New to this forum.
    Is it worth buying a Starview 5 box, after reading about Vm enciption changing.
    Any other benifits of using one
    ?
    Im old and thick as ~~~~ when it comes to technology

    It's more of a gamble now than before. Having said that if you get 2-3 months out of it your quids in. As long as your not in the Leeds area.

    No mate do not touch any of thos eboxes now. Leeds has new Nagra 3 encryption and thay are all off up there.

    as bulldog says if you get a few months you've got your moneys worth. when the shit hits the fan you have still got fta box wich can record tv..........

    m8 if u r that old u might not get a cple of months anyway so spend ur cash pmsl

    I just had to get my son to translate that.

    Live in Redcar North East.
    I have an old box, with a card in that i get the sport channels on, used to get all channels but got zapped.

    Is it likely all regions will be encryipted soon?
    Not that old really, just have no clue on tech stuff, i like nuts and bolt stuff.

    m8 nobody kno s the answer to that (except mr branson) it s been reported on ere that the boxes have gone down in the leeds area and they have had a card change and that n3 is been rolled out....suggest u have a read thro the threads or use the search faciltily at the top of page ..there s been a lot of discussion abou t this
