Opel Astra J 2011 Electric Steering Module Virginise

Does anyone know if it is possible to Virginise or Edit the VIN in the Electric Power Steering Motor/ Control Module?

I have removed from Donor Vehicle with SPS Ok but it has retained the VIN.
It will not Reprogram to the New Vehicle with SPS due to the fact the VIN is still stored.

I have Looked at Module with AVDI (Genuine Licensed) and can see the VIN, there is also an option to Edit VIN but this does not work.

Before i start and Cut the Unit open (Can't see any other way) was looking for a heads up if it is possible.

Tried with a similar unit on a Land Rover and no jo bb

No, I have not found a Solution yet. I have stripped Motor down to gain access to ECU but it is a Hybrid Type no Obvious way to read it.

You can change the VIN by FVDI. I did yesterday it works. After change VIN you have to learn the steering angle sensor.

VVDI or the Cheap FVDI?

Tried with AVDI Genuine and although the option to change VIN was there it would not allow to change it.

is that possible? (in original avdi need the opel license maybe?)

Yes Original does not work, but FVDI does.
Like quite a few Functions, Original is not very good and getting worse, Not better.

the best is if the official Abrites France seller tells you that it is possible and that you have to buy an FVDI or send it the Logs. What after-sales service for material at this price !!!! I am disgusted

therefore with AVDI it works on table in direct connection.

You would have to try it on the car by plugging in can-h and can-l live.
