Default 2006 audi a4 rb8 instrument cluster swap help please 8E0-920-xxx

hello my family here on dk. I am having problems adapting this dash...
The vehicles original cluster stopped communicating but I was able to re-flow components on the board and now has communication car starts and everything again but I do not feel comfortable giving to client like that so I want to install used cluster that I got from salvage yard.

what I know so far as this is the first time I deal with a Audi RB8 dash, I cannot just clone data or swap eeprom because data is encrypted with nec microcontroller. so far I have made backup of eeprom encrypted direct from chips from both clusters as well as using FVDI to make backup of dumps through OBD from both units (not encrypted). I tried to program with FVDI the original dump to new dash but this did not work (def) error so I tried to repair def along with manually entering CS, Login, Mileage but still says (def and safe) so I just programmed back new cluster to the way I got it from the scrap yard now it no longer says (def) I tried to use the component protect option to virginize but It never saw dash from the very beginning. so I am basically back to where I started.
I tried to use that online RB8 dump decrypter software but It was coming back with incorrect login so I do not believe it will work to virginize my data..

I need to get adapted ok before I program new transponders
    attach are my dump files

can anybody help me out I really want to get this sorted out thanks..

All your readings are encrypted and you read the wrong eeprom via clip. It's the 24C08.

I am new to this so I assume abrites dash read was not encrytped.. also the only eeprom I noticed was 95640 on the back side of the board.. does anyone have any pictures of the exact chip I would need to read.. but wouldn't that be useless anyway since eeprom is encrypted.. which one of my tool would be better off using... also I have another vehicle rb8 dash that just needs clock adjusted with no problem ..would it be safe to use car prog to do by obd..

It's under the scales, you need to remove the needles. You can try with FVDI but make backup with clip before. Check if FVDI has read keys button. It will store the decrypted information into a file. Use write key button on the donor dash and select the saved file. It will ask you what to transfer. check all boxes and you are done.

U also can use carprog, I think, it is better, because FVDI sometimes make strange tricks, but whoever does not try it, does not drink a champagne. The primary is to save all the data!

Fvdi does have read keys and write but I wanted to adapt cluster first. But I will make backup of chips first. Then try again... I'm curious what is the 95640 eeprom for in this dash???

Dash is backup memory for code. You need to enter radio code after changing dash.

Solved.. I am so relieved no more stress for the day!!!

Thankyou for everybody's help on this matter.. it was a little tricky but I am glad this worked out great... I called Audi and they did not want to give up the radio code if I do not find an online service to get it.. I will probably just read the eeprom and calculate the code just want to avoid doing all that.. Also pretty cool I did not have to program in any new keys. I'm learning alot every day.. hopefully soon I will be able to help others when they are stuck without a clue on what to do....

Yes everything is under rb8 crypto selection.. but must have communication with original dash to read Cs login and key data .write down Cs login on peice of paper and make backup of key data from original... then connect doner dash and write key data file you saved to dash... then change login and Cs to number you wrote on peice of paper from original dash.. after all is done if I remember correctly I changed status to 01 I think .. I have not done one in a long time but is only a couple of minutes to do whole process once everything is figured out.

Which components did you reflow? I am dealing with the same situation now.
