before use plug red cable & open implication " INTERFACE PREPARE " on desktop

hi,please help it's my first time to use this cable, i unrar the file on desktop >> plug my red cable>> interface is connected ok>> i select "vehicle"
on the top of the screen >> then i see message:" make sure you select a valid xml file"
please what it means ? have i need a data base or need to connect to a car ?? i just need to test if all is ok ???

There is this utility IfPrep.exe in the program folder. When I run it I see 2 buttons. When I press "Interface Prepare" or "Change BR" (bit rate) buttons without any interface I get an error "Cannot get interface".

When I plug the blue Chinese interface and press "Interface Prepare" I get that Renolink.txt file is missing, when I press "Change BR" I get "Invalid interface" error.

I know from a Romanian forum that 1.67 version runs only with 1000000 bit rate. They also mention that the red interface should be updated to a certain FW version in order to work with 1.67. I have no idea if the .dat file is different for 1.67 compared to 1.54.

Here is the translation:

"A new version of 1.67 came out.


Starting with this version, Renolink uses baudrate of 1000000 bps, for that in the archive you will find the IfPrep2.exe utility, press button 115200> 1000000 to switch to the new baudrate. To return to previous versions, press the 1000000> 115200 button."

So I am also missing IfPrep2.exe utility

i know how to change bitrate with red cable without ifprep2, but i dont know if solve renolink activation.

Select com port and 115000 and send
>STSBR 1000000
select 1000000 baudrate and send
>STI
if shows STN 1100 v.xx it works. Save baudrate using
>STWBR

To go back do reverse
Select com and 1000000 baudrate. Send
>STSBR 115200
Select com and 115200. Send
>STI
If shows "STN 1100 ...." save using send
>STWBR

Tested with Obdlink SX original red cable.

I tried this but still cannot connect to interface with 1.67. Bitrate is changed because now also 1.54 and 1.52 cannot connect. My cable is Chinese blue cable, STN 1130 v 4.0.1

please don't be stupid , test blue cable with renolinik.exe before 1.63 update !!!!!!!!!!!
After need another activation !!!!!!!!!! an new dat. file ....

if no one give us exe. file + dat. file don't loose your time and go work or watch TV
