UK braced for Icelandic air then gales as -5C weather forecast
Weather forecasters are warning that Icelandic air will freeze Britain next week before 'disruptive snowfalls
THE UK faces a five-day freeze next week as wintry air from Iceland is set to chill the nation, according to weather forecasts.
The Met Office is warning that temperatures could plunge all the way down to -5C in some areas - followed by 60mph storms, snow dumps and washouts.

The forecasters also issued weather warnings for 70mph gales tonight and tomorrow before the freeze arrives.
And although temperatures should rise again on Thursday next week, "disruptive snowfall" then threatens to cause travel chaos.
Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna said: “It turns colder on Sunday with air from Iceland, and it certainly looks cold until midweek in the East.
“Widespread frosts and the chance of freezing fog are expected, with Monday morning down to -5C in Scotland and -3C in northern England.
