    Default HELP TO READ DELCO HSFI 2.1 WITH CARPROG

    Hi

    i need to read an ecu delco HSFI 2.1 with carprog (to get pin)

    what cable i have to use? The color of carprog pin out cable is little "confused"...

    i need only this connection to read it in bench?

    look here...
    I would do it lke this:

    Use external 12V.
    Use A10 adapter.
    Connect external 12V to ecu and to red-wire A10. (also blue-wire A10 to 12V IGN (toggle) ON/OFF).
    External ground to Case and to black-wire A10.
    Connect A10 green-wire k-line.
    I would not use relay; just put 12v directly.

    U sure you dont want to read pin OBD?

    thank's...

    i think, i have trouble with my carprog..... i check the voltage to the a10 adapter and i have 10 v (i give 12 v to board) only in black wire (k line??????? black????)

    i think my adapter is a s***t..... with a9 adapter everything is ok....

    i follow your advice and connect to ecu only k-line cable and feed the ecu with external power.... and i think i read and reset the ecu.....

    the color of the a10 adapter is different.... is not like usually programmer.... black is k-line

    Strange Red & Black are always + & -....
    Did Carprog read pin?

    nope in adapter a10 black is k-line.... purple is power.. red +5v...etc...

    i never needed adaptor inbetween .. just direct connection to ecu with a relay i believe

    So make live less complicated i believe

    Plug ecu into Vehicle and read through obd2
    Or on bench u use OBD2 connector and connect as by instructions

    I do not use A10 cable
