Default Problem with Edc17cp14 boot pin

    Hi,
have issue with Edc17cp14,wan’t to turn off flaps and egr for this ecu,but can’t read it.Someone already tryed to do it and when i opened ecu,i saw broken or desoldered boot pin, without it i get error (check all connections) with ktag via tricore.Maybe someone know different way to r/w it or different boot pin?Maybe there is fix for existing boot pin?206BC0DF-8094-4B9B-B5D7-760585C44B68.jpg6485CA14-CAFD-4C09-A562-01F2412232A0.jpg24BCAD47-7D7C-43F4-BAB0-9FCB69E356B0.jpg

Upload id with kess, and make photo from ecu label, i give ori file. If you have kess (also clone) you can write.

but if i write modified(egr off + remap) file via obd with kess 5.017 it won't brick ecu?
As far as i know we can not read or write unpatched edc17cp14 via obd.
I don't have ID file right now,but tommorrow i will have.

No, if we read vr it doesnt brick ecu, you need choose protocol 501. (option only write)

Im using kess v2 5.017 with ksuite 2.23.
Sorry im trying to learn and want to know what is "read VR"?
I have issue that protocol 501 says coming soon in ksuite protocols section, via list by choosing any audi i can't see it.If i install version 2.47 ( as far as i know it's max for clone kess v2 5.017) does it become available?
Are you sure it won't brick my ecu if i write via this protocol?Ecu software was modified before by someone.
Maybe possible to make DPF,EGR,flaps off and remap?

Use ksuite 2.47 with your Kess 5.017 and battery pack

write the vr original first check for unknown faults - if someone damaged bootpin maybe mapped for egr previous or similar

    then your new mod

Takes a few minutes to start writing then approximately 10 minutes then you can breathe again

You must be using wrong file. As I have done several that way using 5.017 and 2.47 make sure the original is same as Alientech virtual read files as the VR files only write map areas and if you’ve got a ktag read from elsewhere it won’t work

    Hi

i had a problem with boot pin in edc17c19 , and i solve it (don't laughing please) by building a needle with a cover of a pen a spring a wire and a Stitching Needle....

    DSC05494.JPG

i follow the line of the boot pin and i manage to boot up the ecu very easy and read - write in boot mode...

    https://www.ecubin.com/original-ecu-files-sw-1037516664

I couldn’t find on here but these have original file but it would be worth asking on a separate post for virtual read original and post the ID notepad file up

Write the original provided from members or above make sure ALL numbers match .

Use a battery pack select same orignal for comparison when asked
Write file do diagnostics after to check for any other issues

Then ask for that original to be modded as per your requirements
Select writing choose modded file then will ask you for original for comparison chks
    Wait around 10 minuets
    Then file will write
