Default Help for 'SAM' Smart fortwo

    Hello everyone,

I am looking for the best solution to replace the 'SAM' on my fortwo 450.

He took the water, it remains functional but there is damage on the circuit board and some outputs work more (lighting switch air conditioning / horn).

I have another 'SAM' used but I do not know how!

Should we make it blank and after reprogramming the vehicle settings or cloning the old?

    Thank you

Call "Uncle SAM" to solve this

I think Star is the way to go. Purchase or lend. Or contact a workshop to help you out.
Or you can order a Technician home to your place, to solve it where you are located.

the new used one... does it has the same part number...?
    post photos...?

Just built it in and connect like the old one...
when you have star, use under SAM, immo adaption... car will start...
when you have FVDI 2014, choose Special functions, SMART Adaption, Immo... car will start...

or use reader and clone flash/eeprom... when same... car will start...

The serial number is the same:

    00 11868V011 SAM
    5WK4 5090

Since I do not have Star and I do not have FVDI, I thought I'd make a clone. In addition I thought it was not possible to change the VIN No. in a used SAM.

Is it possible to make a clone with UPA USB or Xprog?

Otherwise what software will you advise me?

    Thank you

    Yes, clone it...
    Xprog will make it...
When you change VIN in Eeprom, you'll have to calculate checksum...

So it's easier and faster to clone it flash/Eeprom...

    Hello,

To avoid an error, have the pinout for reading?

You have to connect 7 wires because it is secure, is that it?

    Thank

    Thank you so much .
With your pinout, if I'm not mistaken you put the 5 volts on pin 31 (XCLKS)?
    That's right ?
