    Smile SKYBOX HD + PROBLEM

Am having trouble with Skybox HD+ . Message on screen indicates NO SATELLITE SIGNAL.

Have rebooted system a couple of times still the same result . Now checking the contuinity of the coax cable between the LNB and the SKYBOX.

Shouild there be any DC voltage appearing on the F Type Antenna Socket between the Centre Connector and Earth? I believe that there should be 5V or so to power up the LNB ? am I right or wrong ?

If the Cable continuity shows ok then it seems to point to the LNB Failed or there is no DC Power coming up the Coaxial Cable to Power the LNB ?

    Appreciate comments

The voltage on the F connector that powers the LNB varies depending on whether you are tuned to a channel using vertical or horizontal polarisation.

When tuned to vertical polarisation the voltage should read around 13v. Horizontal polarisation should give a reading of around 18v.
