Default Mercedes CLK W208 3.2 1999 ECU Swap

    Hi there!

    I have a problem ECU in a Mercedes W208 CLK with 3.2 engine. Original ECU is part number: 025 545 85 32. HW 39.97. FD 98M11 SW

    Replacement ECU is part number: 025 545 85 32. HW 39.97. FD 98M12 SW

As the new ECU has a slightly different software number is this likely to work?

I believe I need to swap an EEPROM anyway, but I'm unsure which chip this is? I've google Bosch chip numbers but not found the answer. I found chips marked: 30132 K7843 A7857, 290836, 183060, B57554, B57943

Thanks in advance for any help!

As far as I know, you should read Motorola MCU 68HC11E9

    Default Thanks guys!

Thanks for the replies chaps. With you info regarding a Motorola MCU; I've found something which I think is the MCU. It is square, has 52 legs and is made by Motorola and is marked zc432594cfn BB1037357075 B58289 4E28B QQBG9846. From Googling it would appear this is indeed that component to swap! Thanks guys I was looking at the wrong chips I think

The bloke on this thread swapped that MCU and his Key/ECU/EIS/VIN programming was on that chip
