Default Opel Vectra Wagon brake light randomly stay on

I have a very strange issue with my brake lights on my Vectra
When i start the car, brake light will work fine - meaning when i pres the brake, the lights go on, and off when brake is released.
But then after a few minutes of driving, the brake lights stay on after i have pressed and released the brake.
Often the lights will not go out before after 5-10 seconds, but more and more often the brake light keeps staying on.
My mechanic have changed the brake switch with no luck. The local OPEL dealer have had the car in th workhop 2 times, but they cant measure anything is wrong even when they saw the problem.

Strange thing is however that this is only happening with engine on..
put in other words: when i have the problem, i can shut off engine and brake light work fine until i start engine again.

I have tried to remove the trailer plug from rear fusebox but with no luck incase this was malfunction.

    Any idears?

There is one idea. Regarding the braking system, the running engine differs from the function of the vacuum brake booster that is stalled. I don’t know exactly what the problem is - the main brake cylinder flows inside the boombox / the main brake cylinder is very worn / the vakuum does not work properly - but I have a suspicion that the brake pedal returns to its original position with difficulty when started, simply returns slowly and does not reach to end. It is checked simply: on the running engine, we release the brake, the stop signals are lit, and you look at the stop signals switch, it does not reach the end with the pedal, and with your hands you lift the brake pedal to the end. If the stop signals go out at the same time, then I am right and the problem is in the brake master cylinder or in the vacuum brake booster. Good luck with the checkout.

    ON TOPIC:-

On that car, dk rumor states brake light switch goes direct to engine ecu, then canbus to rest of car

do search last dk member simular fault was engine ecu.

see if ecu case corroded, when fault happens stall it see if lights go out

if you have to stuff rag in airflow to stall

welcome to dk, the worlds best website
