If you need cheap tool, i can advise PCM flash.
I don't use it, but there is very good reviews about PCM flash. They do now F and G series over obd.
Price is also very very low for a stable tool.

after backup with bootmode (where possible) i did via obd this ecu without problem : edc17cp02/cp09/cp45/c06/c41, edc16, msv/msd, mev17/mevd17 and mss

Kess by obd without any problems, also master & slave ( tested). Soon bench in K-tag, at now flex and at have bench.
