    Hi,
Anyone helped me to recover my SD card, reading the ECU is ok but writing any ECU throws a wake up error error.
Somebody else is wrong where to look for a mistake.

Hi bergbahn. I can't uncompress "128 MB XOR key01-13.7z" with the password "kess5017", there's a message extract file error. Have I made anything wrong?

    Hi jsdias
Yes, I think so you're doing something wrong because 204 other users could unzip the file.
Or the other 204 users did something wrong and could unpack the file because they did it wrong.

Bergbahn provides KeyFileGenerator.cmd on the first post which does the same thing only easier.

There was a problem with my Linux Mint 18.2 Xfce, "p7zip". Installed the full package "p7zip-full" and issue solved.

The "key" is always 13 lines, 208 bytes long.
The "key file" only has to be as long as the data on the SD card, 50 - 60 MB is usually sufficient,
no matter whether 128MB, 4GB or 16GB SD Card

    I've experimented with a 128MB sd card, so the 128MB "128MB XOR Key01-13.img" file.

Member "SVVAG2000" who has published the "KeyFileGenerator.cmd" and my knowledge in another forum,
the size of 128MB just took over because it works

I don't have original SD so I can't use the first method because it says "copy from sd ordiginale etc" so I'm using SVVAG2000 method,
another clarification, on the video the size of the key is equal to the size of cript_new_SD.img, both of which have a 128mb size.
if I have 8 GB sd I have to create the key and image file from 8 gb?
fat32 is good as a file system?

The Kess5.017 files of SVVAG2000 are about 40MB in size and you have to create your keyfile, then your keyfile is only 40MB in size.
No matter if you copy it to an 8GB or 2GB, only the 40MB will be needed

thanks, in the formatting settings I have no option fat16 for sd 8 gb.

    1. erase in zero new memory card
    2. insert SD into device, connect to PC and start Ksuite
    3. remove SD from device and insert into PC
    4. open memory card in HEX-editor
    5. copy block 000000D0 - 0000019F to new file "Key"
    6. place file "Key" in folder with "KeyFileGenerator.cmd" and start "KeyFileGenerator.cmd"
    7. after work of a script you will receive new file "KeyFile.bin"
    8. format SDcard in FAT
    9. copying folders from archive "Ksuite" or "Ktag" to formated sd card
    10. make new SDcard image in HEX-editor
    11. start XorFiles.exe and choose you "new SDcard image" and "KeyFile.bin", specify name for new file and click "start"

I do everything the same until step 10 of the guide, create image file called Decript_SD.img but it has a size of 8 gb while key file with a size of 128 mb and then I open xorfile and it creates an empty file.
in the video the key and image file have the same size
    where am I wrong?

XorFile can not work with large files, the created file must be as big as the smaller source file

open you 8GB img with winhex, mark 50-60MB, save to new file, use xorfile, open the created file with winhex, copy it with winhex in the 8GB img, then copy the 8GB img with winhex to SDcard

it does not hurt to press the THANKS button
