Kess 5.017 how to read SD card or create a new SD card

Hi,

I got a KTAG clone (HW 7.020, SW 2.25) which I want to use to read/write my ECU (EDC17C46). I connected to the ECU and started with making a backup. Everything seemd to go well, but after saving the backup I got a checksum error. When I tried to read again, all protocols are grey. When I go to info, I see this:
Serial number: L00000000
Customer code: C0000
Group code: C0000
Powered by SWAG2000

Is there a way to tell if this is caused by a faulty SD-card? Or could there be something else wrong?

Just made a new SD-card (easy method, thanks Boxsport!) and my protocols are back! Will give it another try with my ECU.

Hi i format SD card in kess FAT32 and in update SD5.017.rar files run ksuite all update and have problem with VAG group "unkown ecu". Maybe use SD-5017china.ZIP and copy all files to sd? SD5.017.rar files 2017y, SD-5017china.ZIP 2019y

Check if format was done properly... Dont Use "Fast format"...
I made kess sd card from easy method and had no issues so far...

Take out sd, clean it with isopropyl alcohol and also the contact of the sd reader on pcb, bend also if needed a litrle but the contacts to ensure they make good pressure on sd when closing.
