Check waveforms against a car that's running ok. Has it got chain or belt. It is a Nissan. Timing ?
Hi,
I got problem with 1.8 Nissan Almera Tino - cannot get it running when ckp sensor plug is connected. If I disconnect ckp sensor - starts after few seconds cranking. Of course ckp sensor dtc appears. I've checked camshaft and crankshaft sensors signals - seems ok to me. Double checked the wiring - also ok. CKP & CMP signals in attach. Help anyone?

Unfortunately I dont't have same car to compare waveforms. It has timing chain - somebody replaced it recently. I see quite similar waveform here: https://gearsmagazine.com/magazine/c...-relationship/ - so it seems that timing is ok. Thanks for reply.

Looks a little out compared to pootube videos.

Had a similar issue on 2 different nissans. One was a qx60, someone swapped motor and also only started when crank sensor unplugged, turned out that the person who swapped motor mixed up plugs for the cam sensors.
The second car was a 350z, the timing was one tooth off and no start until the crank sensor was unplugged.
This is a 4stroke engine so before i put everything together i turn the engine over twice by hand to see if timing marks fall back into place.
