Default Bin or Hex from 93c66 chips?

    Hi.

Could someone please explain the differences between these two files. Its been a while since I read/flashed to the 93c66 chip for speedo clusters and when I was doing these, i was working with .HEX files... editing them in winhex and then flashing chip using the Pic2 EEprom unit.

I've searched on here for the newer 93c86 dumps for the later model clusters (CBR1000rr) and notice these are all .BIN files. Am i correct in assuming that, for the .BIN files, winhex would be unsuitable for the job.. If so, what would be suitable? (advise welcome).

Also, in the past, i was using Tachosoft for getting the mileage converted for the chips... now only the online version of Tachosoft supports the 2013-2016 Honda CBR1000rr (93c86). Is there anywhere else I could use for mileage calculation for this motorbike cluster?

    Many thanks
