Default Need advice, A3 cluster MM4 swap.

    Hi.

Was asked to swap a cluster in an A3 1.8 it is magneti marelli MM4 8L30920900N because original is making wierd things.

I have both clusters on desk, have fvdi, xprog, carprog. But no info how to clone/adapt the scrapyard cluster.

Any advice or connection tips would be welcomed.

Need copy immo data and kilometers from original cluster to second hand one.

Original is labeled 8L30820900C but it is identical MM4 cluster not VDO.

Cluster not have separate eeprom, so need to know what and how to read/write to make plug and play cluster from the scrapyard one.

Thanks for any tips or info.

Read eeprom and find pin then adapt with vcds.

This are both eeprom reads ori dash and scrap dash.

I think scrap pin is 04495 but the same sw that gave me that pin gives on ori 65535

Someone can tell me both correct pins?

    Thanks

Ori dash is with HC912D60 HW:8L0 920 900C. I can not find a calculator to calculate a pin from a file. Only OBD2.
In RAR, I send you a program that reads the pin. Only the kkl interface is needed.
The second dash is from 912DG128 HW: 8L0 920 900N. The PIN 0449 is correct.
When you have both pins you only have to adapt VCDs and add keys. Otherwise you will not do it.
    Good luck. Greetings.

IMMOread 3.5.24.5 Also shows 05096. NYO shows 04495. The Audi MM calculator shows pin 04495 and 342380km.

Both pins worked, new dash adapted.

But in no way i can enter the dash with my FVDI, and could not make the km match the old cluster. Not that bad, car is at least working fine again.

One curious thing, after have read old dash by xprog to get its pin it somehow lost syncro with the car and could not keep the car started for more than 2 seconds (immo prob). Maybe my xprog deleted the immo section while reading the mcu. Who knows...
