Default Citroen C4 1.6 HDI Coupe, all keys lost, help needed

    Hello everyone,

Few days ago I lost my last and only chipped key from my Citroen C4 1.6 HDI coupe 2004. Planning to buy an used ignition barrel replacement with a pair of keys tomorrow, but as far as I know, that is not going to be enough to solve the problem.

As I figured out, I need to virginize BSI eeprom (95128) and possibly buy Lexia 3 OBD tool to get other things done as well.

I managed myself to read BSI eeprom dump as have some experience with laptop BIOSes as well as the tools required for that job to be done.

Could someone please guide me through other steps of the process.. Was scratching my head the whole day but didn't find any useful information at one place to make myself sure what I am going to face next, what to buy and what to expect.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me to extract PIN code and virginize my dump (if its needed).

Any help and guidance would be highly appreciated!

    BSI label numbers are:
    96 565 305 80
    BSI 2004 H05-01 151004

I also attach the original dump of its 95128 eeprom chip.
    Attached Files Attached Files

Maybe there's an other, easier solution, like disabling the immo or something like that. Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Pin code you can get from dealer for few quid and prove of ownership.
You can code key with Lexia.
But tbh why dont you just look for local locksmith to do it all? Easy to do with OBD with correct equipment

I currently live in Lithuania, East Europe. Tried to contact dealer, but they asked me to contact them after a week or so, so they could tell me if they could help me or not. Locksmith said its gonna be between 200-300€ and theres a lot of work to be done and the car need to transported and it will also take few days as they are very busy at the moment, that's why I'm desperately looking for an other solution. I believe I can get this done by myself if someone could guide me a little or point me to the right direction. I can replace the ignition barrel by myself, I can also desolder eeprom IC, reprogram it and solder back on. I'm working with SMD boards for 9 years, soldering large BGA ICs, restoring damaged boards and got some basic knowledge. Why not to try to save some money and time.. My time is not that expensive. At least, I'll keep the tools afterwards and be able to share it with someone else.

    JC BSI pin = EUE1
Virginize JC95128 -----------> replace everything with FF & recode bsi with diagbox/lexia.

Immo off in eeprom 95160 (ECU EDC16C34). Open ECU, read eeprm & post dump here...
(i think this is the easiest option in your situation....)

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Just to be 100% clear - would it be enough to just disable the immo without touching the BSI/coding it with lexia, or both procedures need to be done?

Thank you everyone who helped, I was fortunate enough to get this done successfully and the car is now running again!

However, I have another problem. After immo off, the engine check indicator started to glow and I get "Depollution system faulty" and "Engine management system faulty" messages and RPM is limited.

Tried to reset ECU with "Power latch" technique, but after that "engine check" indicator and error messages come up again as soon as I start the engine.

Could I possibly removed any settings or tweaks that were set by someone else before by modifying the dump on 95160 chip? Or its more likely a coincidence?

As always, any help would be highly appreciated!

    check battery health
    check coolant fluid/(oil) level
maybe dpf/fap is saturated. you can try a forced regen with Diagbox.

you can also consider a DPF Off.

BTW: post more info concerning error codes etc in order to get better help...

Bought lexia, found that fuel injector configuration was lost.

Solved the problem by repeating immo off procedure with ImmoTool 1.5 which didn't cause any problems at all.

One more question: Is it possible to reprogram pre-used original key from another car which came together with ignition barrel replacement or should I buy an empty/virgin key to get it programmed with BSI correctly?
