    Default UPA nec Adapter

Hello to all. I want to make my contribution to all members having problem with nec adapter for upa. After repair of missing line from R11 to J3, pin9 of IC1 to pin 24 of J2, giving gnd to pin 22 of 29F010 or 28C16 and giving gnd to J4 pin1 and J5 pin 1, I still have baudrate error. And one day it fell from the sky to me and I whant to share it with you.

After a lot of work I found this. A line was connected to a dot that is passing to lear 2 of pcb. After that was cleared out, now the adapter is ok. I will give the bin file from 29F 010 and 28C16 if someone need them.

    Default Flash dump

    Hello all.
PSAcars thank you very much for dumps. After week investigation of 78K0 adapter i checked my flash, which was empty ...
So i programmed it with your dump and finally i can read/write to NEC in BSI from X-Picasso.
Mine flash is 39SF010A, so your dump is usable for both of them.
    Thanks alot again.

Hello everyone! Can UPA read and write flash memory SST39SF010A which is present on this adapter ? I did connection repairs like you showed in pictures but I still have baudrate error. Jumper J3 is open. And I wanted to check if the flash is empty. Can UPA with flash adapter handle this ?

Hello to all. No tomekdev upa can not read and write SST39SF010A. You will need TL866A, Willem or some other programmer to do it. For nec mcu look inside upas datasheet connection is custom to this programmer.

Thank you very much! I have checked the flash with Willem and it seems to be fine because the dump is not empty and filled in 1/3 of it's size. However when I test UPA using Hardware Test option from Tools menu it shows me that 3 tests failed. Every try to read NEC MCU ends up with "Baudrate Capture Error". And sometimes fail 2 or 3 tests. Here's log of self-test:

I managed to fix the problem with "Baudrate Capture Error". Even though these 2 or 3 tests fail UPA was able to read simple EEPROM (ST95160 for example to test if UPA is faulty or just NEC adapter). Then it turned out that adapter was faulty because of flash memory contents (ST39SF010A). Even though it was not empty it caused baudrate error. The solution was to flash dump posted earlier here for 29F010A no matter what was present in ST39SF010A. After that adapter worked perfectly. To conclude, to fix adapter it was needed to make changes on adapter PCB as posted earlier and needed to flash the memory.

Hope this helps someone, best regards

    Hi
I'm wondering if the board repair is for upa version 1.3 clone.

    Thanks
