    Hi all i had to spend 3 months in china working while there i bought a p20 phone back in australia now and they tell me i have to root the phone i confess im ok around dashboards but im lost on mobiles i would appreciate ne help or advice thank u in advance all the best digidash australia

    Mate forget that phone. The chinese goverment is a serious d..khead. They force the manufacturers to build two kind of phones china mainland and international version. The mainland versions are only working with china apps. No google apps, no social media, nothing usual, just crap stuffs from Orwell's 1984. They working on the total controll on their citizens.
    BTW in most cases the hw is different too. That is the reason why don't working the international sw on a mainland phone (different emmc size, sensor hub, modem..etc)
    If you still want to play look around on XDA sometimes somebody cooking a 2/3 part working solution. Like everything ok but no bluethoot and front face camera, and one a month the whole crap is collapsing need a fresh install
