Default Hard Drive into a Modded 360.

    Hello Chaps.
Have picked up a free XBOX with RROD.

Have xclamped it using instructions on here. And for now its working!! Thanks..

Have also flashed drive. Thought I should while I had it open!! Also worked spot on using Cunny's tut.

Now next question is can I throw any old laptop drive into the hard drive enclosure? Or is there restrictions??
And how will that effect going online! Cheers

Go on live. I been on past 2 week playing.

    1.61 Sammy.

As for the modding of HD no one knows if this can be detected either.

All said playing on live with modded HD or Drive could always lead to a ban.

Only certain manufacturers will allow you to flash their firmware to spoof an xbox drive.
Even then its not entirely straight forward and might require soldering in some cases.

I cant remember off the top of my head which exact drives are able to be used "Western Digital" springs to mind, but like i said its been a while. Google will definately know.

"HDDhackr" is required to patch the firmware, and you'll need to partition and format it to xfat if i remember correctly.

Like i said not entirely straightforward.

Thanks Chroma. If it was straight forward it wouldnt be fun... Was thinking... does anyone know what the connections specs are for the hard drive caddy?? like could i just pop of to a local electronics store and knock up a cable then attach drive to that??
