The X8/V6 is a really downgrade from this one.

You cant get the Dolph yet. It will not be available for quite some time.

If I was in your situation, I would try to get spare parts. Did you ask the factory for support?
Seller told me that Dolphin machine Will bč ready within March.
I prefer buy new Key machine...because i repaired sec9 many times...

As I said differences are obvious. If you can live with it then you can buy it.
For me using your phone for key cutting is a bit limiting - you can't go outside because it will loose sync and may influence the cutting. Better option will be to dedicate a tablet only for the machine.
But still it is a smaller, more economical machine. So it will better serve those with lower level of workloads.

But no one seems to have really tested this machine outside of China (because it's still in development phase), so you will be the first to share his opinion, it seems.

i have the condor mini, and i love it, only issues ive ever had was cutting hu58 (key worked still but cut shoulder where it shouldnt have a cut) and recent updates gave my condor a few issues, but latest issue fixed everything and now works perfect like it did before the last few updates. i plan to purchase the dolphin, easier to transport and runs off battery (i can power my mini with a powerstation, but rather 1 less thing to connect).

I got the Condor Mini and works ok sometimes, It has broken a few probes/tracer with no idea why. Even calibrated prior and still broke a few probes on Honda cuts and a 1.5 drill on a Mitsubishi, it just goes through the key as if there wasn't anything there. It's done it a few times, then I started using Instacode from my phone to send the decode and cut commands and at least it hasn't broke any so far. So seems it's ok for now.

Well... obviously it is not supposed to do that.
Did you reach support about this issue?
It sounds like a problem with grounding or electrical conductivity.
I had similar situation on a different machine. Solved with extra cable to ground the key clamp on the inside.

Oh.. and I think in the service menu there was a conductivity test to check if this is the issue. Did you try it?

how many keys do you expect to be cutting a week/month ?
i have the x6/v8 and it works great for the occasional key job.

Haven't done the conductivity test, I'll give it a try just to make sure everything is in order. If it keeps breaking the tracer I'll contact support. Cause kind of sucks

something definitely off ive cut many hondas and the only time i have broken a tracer is when i was decoding a key i forgot to clean the key off and so when it was decoding, the dirty key had some gunk on it and the tracer did not make conductivity and broke. now i make sure i always brush off the key and expect make sure nothing that will block it from making ground .

Yes, that's a very important step before you put a key for decoding.
