Thats a spansion s29cd032 flash memory.Mpc561 doesent have internal flash.
Good morning everyone, im in the task to unbrick an Allison TCM A53 module of the gearbox from Mercedes Benz Buses, after doing a lot of research this modules, have a BDM port to do "Something", i downloaded the exact datasheet of the MPC561MZP56, to figure it out why and for what that BDM port was there.
Here is the deal these TCM most of them ar bricked, my task is to try to unbricked them, i have a Xprog, BDM100, UPA, Kess and Jtag.
I want someone to help me out, with some of the douts i have, for example:
can i read this MPC?
With what can i read this MPC?
Does exist a pinout for this MPC port?
any help would be much appreciated.
Here you can see the back and the front (without the MPC561 mounted)

on the back we have the IS64WV6416BL (the little one)IC SRAM 1M PARALLEL 48MINIBGA
and the bigger one is SPANSION CD032J1JFAM01 i could not found any datasheet or information about it

Why do you open more topics with same question?
You already have one here : https://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forum...56-WITH-BMD100
Have you supplied external power to the Gearbox module, while connecting xprog?
If you connect Xprog via BDM (10 pin connector on ECU) it will not get any power supply.
Gearbox needs to be supplied via connector with 12/24V
yes i did, this tcm works with both 12/24v.
because maybe someone could see it in a different section and would help like this one
i went through the xprog, and found on theThats a spansion s29cd032 flash memory.Mpc561 doesent have internal flash.
Subtype
Freescale MPC5xx
Device
MPC-> External FLASH
the S29CD026G0 and S29CD016G1
so my conclusion is that with this current version of the Xprog it cannot read it.
now i want to know if theres a way to read this flash memory.
I don't know if that flash is supported by bdm100 you need to try it.if not you need desolder and read with programmer.
It will connect and give an error about wrong flash ID. If you cannot connect at all, then something is wrong. BDM100 also has no s29cd032 inside the supporting list.
Your best option will be the BDM interface + Software from PEmicro. It is expensive (400USD for the interface, 200USD for the flashing software) but they have the needed flash loader for it :
