Subaru Legacy GT kess flash

Hello guys!
I’m super confused after reading all the information available online about flashing Subaru ECU’s. The one which I have is Subaru Legacy GT 2005 with EJ255 2.5T engine and 22611AJ17E ECU.
Kess doesn’t have Legacy with that engine in the available options, as well as ktag. So I have couple of questions
1) which kess protocol to use? I found Impreza 2008 with EJ255 and thought about using that one first
2) standard kess one cable is fine for that? Hell lot of different info about self made Subaru kess cables around internet
3) should I just plug the green connectors underneath the steering wheel or I also need to do some connections on the white one?
4) is it truth about the 14V or ecu is going to die?
