Default Programming VAG-COM cable VS K+Dcan BMW cable

I would like to start a new project with your help, you are very experienced.
It all started with a K + Dcan cable that does not work, the LED does not light up when I connect OBD and instead it is recognized by the PC.
On the VAGcom we know a bit of everything for the reprogramming thanks also to KOLIMER for the EXECELLENT job!
Some time ago it was modified and used, the KKL VAG cable to connect to the BMWs.
Now is it possible to modify the recent VAGcom to use it as k+Dcan for BMW?
The two cables have the same hardware as photos attached
    To need reprogram ATMEGA162?
    FTDI232 is easy to program.
Every idea and help for this new project is welcome, also to repair Dcan cable.

There is a project to program the K+Dcan BMW cable already only do step 2 and flash combined.hex. You will have to flash the atmega162 chip and the fuse bits.

Hex file can be found in the Binaries zip files.
