Problem with read Motorola MCUs EVER !!

Hi friends. Im have ever same problem with read Motorola MCUs on board. Try with UPA clone and Xprog 5.5.5 clone and same results. Read a few times but compare files and never same files. Try external 12v source and same results. Im need now read one FRM3 module and exactly problem. ALL read not same. Upa or Xprog 5.5.5 Need try lift Reset pin and lift BKGD pin ??? ,but is very difficult . Only Im have this problem ??? Any help ???? THANKSSSSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!

your Xprog 5.55 work fine? not have error when verify?for read and write not need lift nothing if you have good xprog.

THanks for you reply. Yes . With Motorola MCUs mi Xprog verify errors. With UPA clone same results. In few reads not same data files.

You didn't tell what Motorola no. it is. I'd like to see clear photos of your connections too.

Ever problem with diferents MOTOROLA MCUs. In last case BMW FRM3 is 9s12XEQ384 repair-bricked-FRM3-PINOUT.jpg. Upa pins : pin 9 Vcc. Pin 5 ground, pin 6 BKGD,and pin 7 reset. In Xprog box use 1-002-0017 BDM adapter and conection is printed in board.But ever have problems to read others Motorola MCU,with UPA (red PCB clone ) and with Xprog box ( clone) ,ever read problems. A few read and not same compare files. Try with very short wires,try with solder wires directly BDM adapters,try with external 12v power source,and try with buffer amplifiers en BKGD and reset wires. Ever obtain read,but files is not good. ever a few diferences between files read. Same problem with read dash Ford focus and others models of Motorola MCUs. With other eproms,microchip pics,95xxx series,24Cxx series,93Cxx series,Atmel AT64,NEC uPD,and others work fine. Any help ??? THANNKKKSSSS !!!!

Most HC12/9S12's operate with different oscillating modes. Some mode of operation easily is sensitive to distortion.

Thank for your good data. My conection with X prog 20190306_110800.jpg,with UPA adapter 20190306_111038.jpg and....with homemade buffer amplifier in BKGD and Reset line..IN PANIC ATTACK !!!20190306_110526.jpg...THANK for you very good help !!!

I look at your ECU photo and thinking that it's not easy to turn the PCB around to the component side, this is for to work with osc mode.

Im try read BMW FRM3 module . Problem read with Xprog 5.5.5,and same problem read with UPA. (Other devices read OK.Examples 2402,93Cxx,95xxx,atmel MCU,Microchip Pic Mcu,Nec uPD,never problem). But motorola MCUs ever have same problem. Read,obtain data file,but never is same 2 read files.
. Im use Windows Xp service pack 2. Xprog 5.5.5 clone and UPA red board V1.3 clones. Try with very short wires,try solder wires directly over adapters,try 12v external power source,try a few USB wire and never. Ever same problems.

The Xtal is a two-pad SMD at 3 o'clock of the MCU.

Im search Xprog 5.5.1 firmaware and software and try.
Try with Xprog V 5.5.1 now......same problem...
