Default Checksum error Golf 5 2.0 FSI

    Hi guys, good evening,

I would like to ask for your advice.

I have a Golf 5 2.0 FSI, Bosch MED 9.5.10, giving me an internal checksum error when I read via VCDS. He had a remap for EGR off, and mechanically deleted also by some mechanic. Car runs fine, but engine light stays on.

Read the ECU with Kess and saved the bin. At the end of reading, Kess obviously gives me a checksum error. When I load the .bin file in Winols, gives me 1 cheksum error. Also, gives me the opportunity to correct the checksum.

    My question is:

-If I correct the .bin file (EGR off, which is now in the current ecu) via Winols and write it on the ECU, do I have my problem solved?
-If I try to re-upload it via Kess, which automatically corrects the checksum, is this a good idea?

    Thanks in advance!
