Looking some guidance please

Haven’t done one of these yet but get a lot of enquires. It’s a ID46 remote spare key job.

Few questions if someone can answer be great

Buying key from Hickleys will it come precoded or does it need precoded before cloning or programming?

Can I clone this chipwith HB, Keytool or KD if so how can remote be synced to car ?

If forced to use MVP will I have to delete all keys to add new key ?

If above doesn’t work I’ll have to use MVP with smart ariel to precode and programme to car using 2 tokens 😱😬

Amateur stuff I know but don’t want to bag this car or lose key logic as it’s a dealer I do work for

Can't be cloned. Early ones look like old ews diamond keys, but are different. Later ones are slot in push button start.

Remote is written at the same time as key programming.

It's an updated version of ews. You'll need a machine that can do it.

What year is it?
If you want to make clone probably will work but not sure and obviously no remote.
If after 2007 you need to downgrade the cas module to get the key info witch is a bit dangerous,case is crypted.
Don't have MVP.
I use vvdi2 to do it but still only till 2007.
At the moment I don't touch any cas after 2007.cgdi also can do and some others..

Thanks mate it’s 2006 MVP says it will do it with smart ariel looks like it’s my only option for now fs. Tried to contact guy about VVDI but no reply. I sent you a pm about it 👍🏻

Only with smart pro + smart aerial. No with mvp.

The first one you use to start the car will continue to work.

And you'll have no remote for the clone.

Of course they can be cloned. EWS ID44 chips cannot be cloned.

This is not true... You confuse EWS with CAS.

Are you saying that there are no rolling immobiliser codes in CAS?
