    Hi guys!

This post has been so far really useful for me on my journey of bringing back to life my Fiesta from 2001.
I have the famous VP44 in this one, which stopped working all of a sudden. The errors that I was getting were P1664 and P1564, which indicated me that the mosfet was gone. I opened the main circuit and indeed, one of the pins was gone.
I replaced the mosfet with another one, placed back to the car and the mosfet started to smoke. I believe that mosfet was already damaged from factory... So, I replaced it again and this time, everything seemed normal.

As soon as I give ignition, I can measure 12V in the output of the two cables(metering solenoid), so it seems that the mosfet it's actually working. I measured as well on the other solenoid, and it seems to give as well the right value.
When cranking, I can hear a click click click noise, which I think it's coming from the metering solenoid opening the fuel system.

There's fuel coming to the 4 injectors, I opened one by one to put the air out until I couldn't see any more air coming out.
But even doing all of this, the car doesn't start and I still read P1664 and P1564. What am I doing wrong?

Hello friends, i can not to weld the wires over the surface. I use tin-lead 40/60 and It does not adhere to the surface.

I have a soldering iron with temperature control but I can't solder on that surface.

Could someone give me some advice, please?

    Hello!
I have an Opel Frontera 2.2DTI pump with problems.
Without warning, one day it didn't start anymore.
The errors are P1631 and P1651.
    Is it just the transistor?
    Thank you!
    Regards

In the meanwhile I anticipated and bought these 2 transistors:
    IRLR2905ZTRPBF and IRLR3705ZTRPBF.
    Which will be most suitable?
Regarding soldering, I would like to test it in advance on a module that was broken.
Is there any place where I can buy such a thing?
    Thank you very much.
    Regards

everything is very simple, try resistance welding at low current with small pieces of steel wires. Well?

You can try to connect a probe light to solenoid ( fuel metering valve ) wires.

I use this liquid and an ordinary soldering iron and tin without rosin can do it.
After smearing the wire after 10 seconds, you can solder

    hi guys
I'm having some problems with the vp44 pump on an AUDI 2.5 tdi. long story short - I replaced the mosfet on the original pump and it failed after 2 days. Then I went to get a known working pump from a car that was drivable. I unbolted it and I put it in a car, made the adaptations using VCDS and the car still shows - controle module faulty - . Over all I tried 3 known working pumps and still no luck.
In the last year I owned 7 Audis 2.5 tdi and all had a bad pump. I always replaced it with a second hand one and never done any adaptations with VCDS. Car always fired up and worked like it should.

this one is really making me go insane.
Have any of you had any similar problems?

    Thanks
