EDC16+ CP34 Audi A4 3.0 bricked

I need some help about that ECU. It is currently bricked by MPPS . We have read the ecu using KESS v2. After modification of maps, KESS did not allow as to write because of bad checsum. The CRC was calculated by Winols and everething sims to be ok wit it. Finaly we tried to write file with MPPS v16 and writing stopped at 50%.

Now i can not start the car because ECU is dead. The only possibl way to wwrite file back is XPROG, but even with original file, car dont strat.

THe software number of ECU is 1037379711.

Unforunately also BDM 100 canot write because was not able to identify flash. Only xprog, but no sucsess.

Do you thing Ktag can become the ECU to live? Or i make something wrong with XPROG?

You flashed via BDM original file read via OBD, so ecu now dead.

Find good original read by BDM and write it using your xprog. Ecu will be back to life.

When writing Kess warned you that something is wrong with checksum and you still tried to write it!? Next time make BDM backup if something lik this shows up as checksum warning...

I have downloaded the file from the link. Unfortunately BDM 100 dont want to connect that ECU because of unknown flash memory type. I have tried with another EDC16CP34 with different flash and it workd.
The only possible way for me is to use XPROG. It work wery well. Until now, i have tried only with downloaded files and no luck. I will try to write this file now.

Sometnhing that i read is that when try to write with xprog, it clear not only flash but also MPC memory or Config A of MPS. I will try to find is it true or not. A have read Config A of MPC before writing but the total memory space was full of FF. Today i read another similar ECU and Config A was also empty.

So, i will try today to write the file from link above and will report the result.

For ECU BDM jobs buy KTAG clone and be done with it..

Yes, it looks like xprog dont do the job correct. I will use Ktag to download the file

Now i realy need help. Ktag did not able to write flash. Where could be the problem?
xpXprog do all memories, but ECU is not acessible. Ktag couldnt write.

Buy donor ecu, clone eeprom

this is the next step, but i afraid that MPPS could write to eeprom and the original could be dameged. I checked internal flash compariing other similar ecu and it looks like ok,, because only sw numbers were different and the end data field.

One more question . Ktag error during writing ecu was "Check sum error writing buffer" . Is it possibele an error wit CS in file? Winols calculated CS an it looks like ok

Mpps not write eeprom. Open ori ecu, desolder eeprom and read it in programmer. Write by ktag by bdm.
