Default BMW EWS2 AK90+ Analyze BIN not working

    Hello,

I have purchased AK90+ programmer, and can successfully read my EWS unit, but when I click EWS Analyze it does nothing.
I have attached dump file, if someone could have a lok please.

    Thanks

Does thta mean AK90+ failed to read dump properly or internals of my EWS unit are faulty? Can has no issues in regards to EWS though... Starts up and runs fine.

This is what the dump should look like. Seems, occasionally, the PC, chip and the programmer can't agree on when to start sampling data, so either the chip is defective or there's a problem with PC comm. Try to check that the setup is ok and maybe reboot before reading or writing again.

Yup, it's your file with the data fixed where the errors were obvious. The dump had numerous errors where bit7 of a byte was read as 1 when it was in fact 0. The VIN was screwed and I have no idea if, for example, the password starts with C4 or is really 44. Making several reads and saving them before writing the file would be a good idea. Lemme know how it goes.

Just want to double check before proceeding to any actions - uploading this BIN into my current EWS module should not make any harm to the unit? Can I simply take the file and write EWS? Key would not need programming afterwards? In theory everything should remain the sam apart of that I'll have properly readable EWS unit, correct?

Of course I have saved a backup BIN file from the other day and can make one more. In case something goes wrong and I will need to restore files by writing a backup BIN would not affect it?

No, writing the file won't harm the EWS but why not make a key and try it before writing? The fixed file helps you identify the used and available keys.

I modded it enough for the apps to be able to use it. I also said that I couldn't be sure of everything. However, you're welcome to improve upon it and share the result.

Ahhhh, then in that case nothing is lost in trying with the current one. My philosophy is never replace without being sure it can't be repaired.
