There is MED17 ECU and as we know there no 8 pin chip . You will have to read emulated eeprom and flash with boot mode programmer , upload data here someone of us will help you with immo off or correct your data to the original ( if you know your pin , CS , MAC and power class).

    ON TOPIC:-

is it possible to open both ecu, look for thick diode on board and voltmeter it
    see if can be repaired.

can you put voltage meter on the bdsm port?

    OFF TOPIC:-

i stole a faulty control module, it went dead short and blew a vehicle fuse.

dead short went, it was internal to the board, so linked a wire from input pin to the
    regulators and bingo, decent skank.

Read on boot mode with ktag clone.
Car started fine but on dash was showing SAFE...
I uploaded the file here on dk and someone immo off it for me.don't know if worked as I found a software named "edc17off",if I remember well, and I used it.
    Software found here and eBay..
