Default Zgemma broke after power surge

Hi All, a few days ago I had thunder and lightening storm right over my house, after a big flash my router was dead and have a new one, however my zgemma box was also dead, I changed power cable and the box comes on, well just a red light over the volume button. both the router, tv and zgemma were on a surge protected extension cable and my electric never triped. When I turn the box on with a usb in it (open atv image) in it will not come on at all, does not matter if it is in the front or back, but will if no usb in it. I am no expert at all I just think if I cant even get to the point of a boot screen I have no chance of fixing it, after buying a new router I really do not want to buy another box but equally do not want to waste hours trying to fix something I think is broken. Hopefully someone can put me out of my misery soon, many thanks

Put the usb in the rear of the box . Then power up the box it should read flash in the led.
If it dosent try a couple of different usb sticks.
