    Default Corsa d battery drain

    Hello I am looking for a bit of help I have a corsa d 2011 with the a10xep engine there is something draining my battery I have ran my opcom on it and the only error I can’t remove is u2100-00 canbus communication error I left the car for 30 min and I was still getting a drain on the earth of 0.31 and power cable 0.34 I have just put in a new battery

    Check if ecu is swimming! Its under the windscreen panel.

    I tried that my ecu is located in the side of my battery tray thanks for responding

    Then put your meter on and start pulling fuses. When the draw drops find out what is on that circuit. Have you got a hands free fitted?

    I haven’t got a hand free there was a thin red wire with a inline fuse don’t know if there was a black box fitted previously but there is no fuse connected and the wire is cut I will try pulling the fuses cheers for all your help

    I tried pulling the fuses out one by one in the box under the bonnet but it did not Chang the reading

    Did you try with fuses inside the car? Then disconnect fuse box or ecu. You have to isolate to move on

    Radio used to cause problems like that .. micro staying powered up but no sign on the radio itself .. pull out and disconnect (worth a try )

    I had it in a garage to get it looked at and he said it was the head unit that was causing the issue so removed that and it’s still doing the same I have disconnected the fuse for the stereo and that wasn’t it also the interior light want that I was out in it for about 30 min drive and today it’s flat again at my whits end with this car

    Advertising:-

    go go buy a thermal imaging camera £150 ish so told
    use that , if no good just look at body parts with it

    not sure, it has. Battery live (some do) airbag module fully with water

    take photo of all fuses, pull the lot out, if drain then something that’s infused, alternator

    What about fuses in the BCM (body module ) ?
    Today is the Tomorrow you worried about yesterday ......Was it worth it ?

    Had the same on an Astra H it was the alternator draining the battery, worth a check.

    I have just ordered a new alternator I will change that and hopefully sorts the problem cheers for all the help
