    Default MC9S12HZ256CAL 3L16Y odometer correction

I need to read a MC9S12HZ256CAL 3L16Y mcu via Xprog where do I connect? To the bdm port or directly to the mcu pin? Anybody has the correct pinout to use?

    Many thanks

Well, I'm here after two years with the same issue

I read two different cluster one with 35034km and the other with 43445km

I found that the mileage is stored at 000122

But in the lower mileage one it is repeated in several other addresses

If I modify all those addresses with the mileage I want I get 000000km on the cluster

    What am I missing?

The cluster probably saves the mileage at a fixed interval, for example every 5 second into a ring buffer. The lower mileage the cluster was probably power up enough long to fill the ring buffer with the last known mileage.

You are probably missing a CRC. The cluster detects altered data and ignore them.

Have you a dump of the program section of your cluster for disassembly purpose? The mileage could be set through OBD port normally.
